Introducing Tech hub Africa, owerri’s first innovation hub

The tech hub Africa is quite an ambitious project and is bound to change the face of the tech ecosystem in owerri. tech hub Africa is going to be owerri’s first innovation hub open to startups, entrepreneurs, and individual internet users.

The entrance: tech hub africa

Mr kelvin Ekwenwa head of growth an development at tech hub Africa gave us more information about the innovation hub. founded in 2017, the one month old hub is small sized one. almost the same as the size of a 4 bedroom flat with a little extra. The plan is to let anyone rent desks for as low as  ₦8,000/desk/month with unlimited power and internet. The building is fully operational and open to individual and startups to subscribe to.

standard personal office space

The build is capable to serve as co-working space to a maximum of 4 startups of consisting of a small amount of team members, has 3 standard private offices for individuals, an internet café and the capacity to host an event of not more than 50 people in attendance. the hub is undergoing some final construction processes and some spaces cant be used yet.

This is defiantly a deal breaker in owerri especially for startups who cant afford a private office space to co-work with other startups to share ideas and resources. students in schools with limited power and internet supply have being sending in positive feedbacks and will be happy to serve as costumers to tech hub Africa to work on internet solutions and to reach their entrepreneurial goals.

The space for individual office space

Tech hub Africa is located off port Harcourt road owerri which is pretty much accessible from anywhere in owerri. the hub is launching mood right now with it’s website currently under construction, with no active social media profile yet and no form of promotions has being made but plans for all these are being made and will be implemented as soon as possible. said mr kelvin.

The hub currently serves as the venue for the weekly owerri tech group meetup, have a program coming up to connect investors, founders, developers and users together and over 20 bookings has being made for a space at the hub including startups and individuals.

The tech hub Africa is located at no 3 yar’adua drive, by concord junction, off port Harcourt road, owerri, imo state. call 08098967721 to know more.
