Tech hub Africa is making sure developers have no choice but to be world-class.

We reported earlier about how tech hub Africa launched while everyone was asleep because of the numerous activities they seem to be involved in, one thing we didn’t mention was how serious or aggressive(in a good way) things would turn out to be.

The innovation hub has launched “Code Night” a new service that allows developers work on projects till dawn. Basically, the idea is to provide a working environment for individuals to collaborate, stay woke and inspire each other without being distracted.

90% of developers would agree they love working at night but hindered by the inefficient supply of power. The hub says its providing electricity for badasses to get jobs done and for wannabe badasses to foster learning and technical skill development.

for one to refer him or her self as world class, one must be willing to make sacrifices and put in lots of work to achieve the goal. we are providing a ground for that goal to be achieved” –Gbolahan Fawale, hub manager told 4kreport.

Owerri needs to be known for something, a state that produces one of the top talent export in the south and Nigeria at large. that something could be javascript.

In may, THA is starting Tech hub Africa javascript developers club, a 2 weeks learning boot camp strictly on JavaScript, it’s frameworks and everything it entails. A pre .JS learning weekend boot camp had already started, its finale is this weekend; you can attend here.

Who knows, the next .JS evangelist like Christian Nnwamba(@codebeast) could be from Owerri.

Code night is only available on Thursdays but more days would be added as demand increases.
