Tech meetups you should attend this January.

Happy new year Techies, 2017 was a success in the Owerri tech scene in bringing together a community of developers​, entrepreneur, Digital marketers, startups and the general tech enthusiast. 2017 was a stepping stone for Owerri and I say we stepped on it really hard.

It’s time to continue what we’ve started, but this time more organized and pronounced. To be better.

Most times, the month of January is usually a time for meeting new people, a time to be inspired, a time to step up your game and there is no better way to that than to attend a Meetup.

Here are tech meetups we suggest everyone should attend this January.

  • ALC Meetup V2.0

Learning Continues as the Andela learning community meetup resumes to connect people who are interested in learning software development with beginner or intermediate courses in Android/Web development or product design.

Date: Saturday, 13th January 2018.

Time: 9:00am – 12:pm (web meetup) 1:00am – 04:00pm (for android meetup)

  • Startupsouth stakeholders conference

Startup Ecosystem Leads from around 11 States in The South-South and South-East of Nigeria will gather in Owerri to network, strategize and deepen collaborations and inter-city/state engagements.

  • Forloop​ Owerri

Postponed from November 2016 to January 2017, Owerri will host it’s​ first Forloop meetup themed THE CODE FACTOR it’s maiden edition with aims for developers to learn from the big guns in software development, maybe receive fire and evangelism also.

  • Legal hackers Nigeria

Lawyers, Techies, policymaker, academic, judges, information tech professionals, law students and tech start-ups are invited to explore and develop creative solutions to some of the most pressing issues at the intersection of law & technology.

The famous weekly Tech Meetup will continue this January after successfully being an important group in 2017 where major discussions and decisions about the direction of the community are made.

  • Techpoint build

Techpoint​ claim it’ll be the biggest tech event January. It’s an opportunity to meet investors and get free technical, legal and marketing advice for your startup or business. TPbuild will critically address and proffer lasting solution to challenge associated with the startup and technology sector.
