1. UNN has a lions den but for laptop.

The university of Nigeria Nsukka has launched a laptop assembly plant to make laptops affordable for students and to create an avenue where engineering students in the university will develop and acquire further skills in laptop assembly.

since Affording a laptop as an average Nigerian student requires using your schools fees to get one or soaking garri to save so you could get one this is definitely one announcement we are all grateful for. but wait don’t let this distract you from the fact that might still embark on another strike.

As for the laptop specs/price, nothing has been officially disclosed yet. Although a look at the banner below shows that the laptop has a  15-inch screen paired with a 2GB or 4GB of RAM, 500GB of HDD and a Windows 10 OS.

2. A meetup for frontend developers

Ire aderinokun and christian nwamba(code beast) will be starting a frontend Developers confrence Frontstack, to help more developres build up their skills in frontend engineering. First meetup will be on october 28, 2017 in lagos.

3. Taylor swift launches a new social network app dedicated to her fans.

Glu Mobile, the gaming company responsible for hits like Kim Kardashian: Hollywood and bombs like Nicki Minaj: Empire is at it again with The Swift Life, an app that’s all about the one and only Taylor Swift.
